SHADY LANE LIVE AT THE ANNANDALE SYDNEY – OCTOBER 09

“Jordy Lane opened the evening, showing off an interesting collection of synth pop tunes. Seeing out the majority of the performance on his own, a female friend who brought some nice vocals and relief joined him briefly, while Lane took over on guitar. Lane’s voice is the standout of his show and he used it to his advantage. A melding of folk, pop and synthesisers, his performance was an indie take on Death Cab For Cutie with a dash of Aphex Twin” - Drum Media

“[Galileo] is smart, heliocentric pop very much of the Postal Service school. The electronic elements are for the most part subdued by sweet descending melodies and organic guitar parts. A great story, a great song.” - Vijay Khurana, JJJ

“Playing keys and guitar backed by his own electronic accompaniments (courtesy of a Mac desktop – quite a unique on-stage sight in a world seemingly ruled by Macbooks), Jordy has a striking voice could be described as a less extravagant Rufus Wainwright. His songs are reminiscent of acts such as The Postal Service and Clue To Kalo, but he often seems to rest in a very natural feeling middle ground between the two – somewhat subdued, but with enough hooks to keep the songs closer to pop territory than electronica.” – Music NSW
