Miniature Submarines is a vehicle for the solo recordings of Mark Nelson, otherwise known for his work in Melbourne band The Stabs. Stylistically the Submarines music couldn’t be further removed from The Stabs sound – this is unashamedly an exercise in pop.

This Limited 7″ from Sydney’s Traps features the tracks Standard Life and Brainwasher. Standard Life is a track fused with off kilter guitars and complimented by hypnotic vocals. The B side Brainwasher is a song composed almost entirely on a Casio keyboard fed through washing delays, distortion and flangers creating an erie vibe, a side of Traps not yet heard.
